What makes gold PET trays different from EPS foam trays

Traditional premium trays were made of polystyrene foam (EPS). That era is ending: from January 2026, the UAE’s second-phase single-use plastics ban prohibits EPS foam food containers, and similar rules are spreading across the GCC. Food-grade PET is the direct replacement — it is rigid, crystal-clear where it needs to be, and accepted where EPS is now banned.

GCC: with the UAE EPS ban now in force, importers in Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi are actively replacing foam trays. We ship on CIF Jebel Ali and Dammam terms; GCC import duty on plastic packaging is 5%.

OEM/ODM and how ordering works

Custom sizes and embossing are produced from our existing tooling library or new molds from your drawing. Carton printing and label design are included. The process is simple:

Are gold PET trays food safe?

Yes. The trays are made of food-grade PET suitable for direct contact with fruit, nuts, sushi and desserts, and can be supplied with high-clarity lids for chilled counters.

Do you have black trays in the same shapes?

Yes. Black versions are produced from the same molds as the gold line, so you can run both colors with identical dimensions and lids.

What sizes do gold PET trays come in?

Thirteen models from 160×160 mm square to 320×200 mm fan-shaped, including rectangular, half-round, round (lotus emboss) and square series. Dimensional drawings are available on request.

Can we get samples before ordering?

Yes. We ship on CIF Jebel Ali and Dammam terms with a 5% GCC import duty, and food-grade PET trays are compliant with the UAE’s 2026 EPS foam ban as an alternative material.
